A henna tattoo is a temporary body art decoration applied as a hand drawn design. The process is deeply traditional and often ceremonial in Indian and Arabic cultures and is also known as Mehndi. The designs are piped onto the body by an artist using a paste made from the crushed, dried leaves of the henna plant.
The paste takes up to a half hour to dry. The longer the paste has contact with skin, the darker the stain will be – so don’t remove the dried paste right away.
At first, your stain will be bright orange. Over the next couple of days it will naturally oxidize to create a dark brown stain that can last up to 4 weeks.

The tattoo will fade as your skin naturally exfoliates.
